Mobile Money outsources to icenet | July 2007
Hot on the heels of Log Book Loans, Mobile Money is the second of the UK’s largest logbook loan companies to outsource their IT system to specialist lending software company, icenet.

 Mobile Money, which specialises in logbook loans and offers a buy back service has experienced rapid expansion since its formation in 1998. The company now operates from its head office in Redditch and currently has 23 branches across England and Wales.  Acquired by Central Trust plc in 2006, the business has aggressive growth plans and has embarked on a strategy to open more branches.

 Simon Furnival, Operations Director at Mobile Money commented “Our customers come to us for an easy and quick way to unlock cash in their cars. The icenet system provides us with crucial electronic links with relevant data sources to perform the necessary real time checks on cars, valuations and any existing finance arrangements that might be in place, so that we can provide timely loans to an increasing customer base.”  Adding, “Efficient and timely management of customer accounts is critical to the success of our business and this is one area where we considered that icenet would provide us with competitive advantage.”

 Commenting on the contract, Alex Stephen, Chief Executive at icenet stated “We are delighted to be working with Mobile Money on this project and look forward to assisting them in the development of their business over the coming years”, going on to say “The key benefit that customers are looking for is increased output and in turn, profitability. The icenet software has been developed so that it manages the whole business process from initial enquiry through customer servicing and collections to re-marketing.  Furthermore, the customer centric view allows users to determine the relationship with a customer at a glance and enables more informed decision making.”

In common with other customers, the system is fully hosted by icenet from its secure twin data centres.
